Circuit Zandvoort
About the track
Circuit Zandvoort is a historic track on the North Sea coast that returned to the F1 calendar in 2021 after nearly 36 years away - largely thanks to Max Verstappen's popularity. The track features unique banked corners at Turns 3 and 14, the only ones in modern Formula 1, which demand courage and precision. Set among dunes and pine forests, it offers a narrow and twisty layout where overtaking is extremely difficult. The atmosphere created by the Dutch Orange Army - a sea of orange fans with flares and horns - makes this race one of the loudest of the season. The track's history dates back to 1952, and among its winners have been Jim Clark, Niki Lauda, and James Hunt.
