George Russell joined Mercedes for the 2022 season after three years at Williams and quickly proved he deserved a seat at a top team, winning a race in his debut season. Since Lewis Hamilton's departure to Ferrari, he is the undisputed leader of Mercedes and a mentor to young Antonelli.
