Biography
Liam Lawson is a New Zealand racing driver and Red Bull junior program graduate. He caught attention with impressive substitute appearances for Daniel Ricciardo in 2023, then earned a full-time seat at Racing Bulls in 2024. In 2025 he was promoted to Red Bull Racing alongside Max Verstappen, but the season proved difficult - fast over a single lap, he struggled to deliver consistent results in races. For the 2026 season he returned to Racing Bulls under new team principal Alan Permane. He is the first New Zealander in Formula 1 since Brendon Hartley and is still regarded as one of the biggest talents in the Red Bull program.
