Biography
Sergio 'Checo' Perez is one of the most experienced drivers in Formula 1 history, with a career spanning Sauber, McLaren, Force India, Racing Point and Red Bull Racing. At Red Bull he enjoyed the best period of his career - winning 5 of his 6 victories and finishing 2nd in the 2023 World Championship. After a poor 2024 season in which he was unable to keep pace with Max Verstappen, he lost his Red Bull seat. For the 2026 season he was given a second chance at Cadillac - F1's new 11th team - where his experience and phenomenal tire management could prove crucial. Perez is a huge national hero in Mexico, and the Mexican Grand Prix with his participation is one of the most exciting events on the F1 calendar.
