Biography
Valtteri Bottas is a Finnish racing driver with an impressive Formula 1 record - 10 wins, 67 podiums and 20 pole positions earned primarily during 2017-2021 as Lewis Hamilton's teammate at Mercedes. During that period he played a crucial role in the team winning successive Constructors' Championships, being one of the fastest number two drivers in history. After moving to Alfa Romeo (later Kick Sauber) for 2022-2024, his career slowed down - the team could not provide him with a competitive car. For the 2026 season he joined Cadillac - a brand new, 11th team in Formula 1 - where his experience from top teams is invaluable in building a team from scratch. Bottas is known for his single-lap speed, calm approach and professionalism, and off the track for his iconic detachment from the sport and sense of humor.
