History and Information

Aston Martin Aramco returned to Formula 1 in 2021 when billionaire Lawrence Stroll acquired Racing Point and rebranded it under the legendary British automotive marque. The team's roots trace back to Jordan Grand Prix in 1991, which went through successive incarnations - Jordan, Midland, Spyker, Force India and Racing Point. Under the leadership of Adrian Newey, the legendary F1 car designer and new team principal from 2026, Aston Martin is undergoing a fundamental transformation. A key element is the ultra-modern superfactory at Silverstone - one of the most advanced bases in F1 history - and the engine partnership with Honda, replacing the previous collaboration with Mercedes. Fernando Alonso, two-time World Champion and one of the most experienced drivers in history, leads the project, with Lance Stroll alongside him. Aston Martin has invested hundreds of millions of pounds in infrastructure and recruiting engineering talent, with the declared goal of fighting for championship titles in the new regulatory era.
